Our client works in a variety industries (corporate, educational, healthcare, government, non-profit), and has niches in both the private and public sectors.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other project documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes - Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project scope, conditions, and potential risks - Identify and quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs required for each project - Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including direct costs, indirect costs, and contingency allowances - Present cost estimates to management and clients in a clear and professional manner - Track and manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget throughout the estimation process - Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in bid review meetings Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - At least 7 years experience as a Construction Estimator - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes - Proficient in using construction estimating software and tools - Excellent mathematical and analytical skills - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team For more details, contact Rich Cusati at 860-485-4328 Job Type:
